Philip Tan joined the Media Development Authority of Singapore in 2005 to focus on digital media industry development. Mr. Tan previously produced PC games at The Education Arcade, a research group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that studied and created next-generation educational games. He complements a Master's degree in Comparative Media Studies with work in Boston's School of Museum of Fine Arts, the MIT Media Lab, WMBR 88.1FM and the MIT Assassins' Guild, the latter awarding him the title of "Master Assassin" for his live-action game designs. Mr. Tan is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and founded an organization of student DJs at MIT. Originally from Singapore, Mr. Tan has worked as a web-master and a broadcast and print CG artist for the Singapore Army and the Television Corporation of Singapore.
